Business Analyst – International Business

Summary of Department Scope of Job:

The International Business practice undertakes a diverse range of consulting projects, encompassing economic, business, and market research, as well as industry and financial analysis. Our clients are typically international corporates and development partners, seeking strategic advice to support major investments.

What you will do:

• Support a project manager and team on all aspects of a consulting project.
• Conduct both primary and secondary research and analysis independently.
• Develop and synthesize relevant conclusions and recommendations for our clients.
• Contribute to client deliverables – typically written reports, presentations, and data models.
• Work across a diverse range of industries.
• Work primarily in English language, with international clients and a multinational team.
• Typically work on 2-3 projects simultaneously; multitasking and quick learning are essential.

Business Analyst – SME & Corporate Advisory

• Department: Private Sector Strategic Partnerships (PSSP)
• Location: Phnom Penh

Summary of Department Scope of Job:

The SME Advisory practice provides strategic advice to Cambodian SME, to realize their growth and investment objectives.

What you will do:

• Support consultant to produce project deliverables such as business plan, strategic plan, financial model, investment memorandum, etc.
• Collect primary and secondary data to support business analysis.
• Prepare a detailed analysis plan and execute the plan accordingly.
• Diagnosis of the client’s problems, opportunities, and suggest solutions for the client.
• Provide inputs for recommendations based on sound and scientific analysis that help the decision-making.
• Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with the understanding of key performance indicators.
• Connect with financial institutions such as banks, MFIs, insurance, and other players to successfully deliver clients projects.

What you should have:

• Excellent academic track record of undergraduate study or higher – ideally in business, economics or finance related field.
• Solid understanding of Cambodia’s economic and business environment.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications at a minimum.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Khmer.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new clients’ requirements and subject areas.
• Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams.
