Emerging Markets Consulting (EMC) is currently seeking enthusiastic, ambitious, and value-driven candidates to join our team as a Senior Consultant in Digital Consulting and a Senior Consultant in Financial Consulting in the Corporate & SME Advisory team in EMC Cambodia. The positions are full-time position which offers significant growth opportunities. Senior Consultants in EMC typically lead and manage teams to deliver client-based and internal consulting projects simultaneously. The positions provide opportunities to apply existing analytical and management skills and experience and, at the same time, rapidly acquire and diversify a portfolio of knowledge and expertise across various sectors and industries to solve our clients’ most pressing business needs and challenges. The Corporate & SME Advisory team at EMC undertakes a diverse range of consulting engagements for the top management of SMEs, conglomerates, and organizations in the areas of strategy and growth, mergers and acquisitions, financial feasibility and valuations, investment advisory and access to finance, and digital transformation to enable their organizations to reach the next level of growth.  

Senior Consultant (Digital Consulting) – Corporate & SME Advisory 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Apply latest digital consulting methodologies and frameworks, combined with knowledge and techniques in data, digital, and technology in our engagements with the client 
  • Develop transformative insights and deliver digital recommendations – Gather and analyze data and information, formulate and test strategic possibilities, and develop and communicate transformative digital recommendations to clients 
  • Move clients to action – Identify needs, develop, and communicate digital consulting proposals  
  • Develop and apply the consulting approach – Define a thorough consulting approach and resources required to achieve project objectives and goals 
  • Manage and deliver consulting engagements – Develop and manage the project plan and timeline, guiding team members in their work and role, to deliver deliverables in the agreed timeline and scope – including research and analysis, report writing, and presentations to stakeholders 
  • Be a leader – Manage and mentor junior team members while championing EMC position as a value and culture driven organization 
  • Manage client relationships – Practice the highest standards of excellence, integrity and professional conduct in developing opportunities with new and existing clients alike 
  • Ensure that EMC’s brand and work maintains the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct throughout all engagements 

Qualifications that we look for

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a consulting firm (with focus in digital/technology/data) 
  • Proven track-record of competent leadership in a work and project management using established project management techniques such as Agile and Waterfall 
  • Strong affinity with the latest digital innovations and interest in new technologies, especially digital platforms, big data architecture, AI and automation 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – through strong verbal, written and presentation skills – in English (Ability to communicate and present in Khmer is an advantage) 
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office applications – especially in developing consulting slide decks, and data analysis and visualization  
  • Bachelors degree and excellent academic record in a top-tier university in IT, business, finance, economics, or other related fields; an MBA or related postgraduate degree or qualifications is an advantage 
  • Possessing a strong understanding of programming languages like Python, C++, App development, and big data analytics techniques is an advantage 
  • Knowledge of Asia & regional business environment and economy is an advantage

  • Successfully manage projects to client deadlines and objectives 
  • Coordinate several projects simultaneously  
  • Lead and contribute actively to capacity development of consulting team 
  • Manage staff, including mentoring and developing junior levels 
  • Develop strong and mutually beneficial client relationships 
  • Consistently deliver high-quality performance in all aspects of your work  

Senior Consultant (Financial Consulting) – Corporate & SME Advisory 

Main Responsibilities  

  • Apply strong corporate finance skills, combined with classic management consulting methodologies and frameworks in engagements with the client 
  • Develop transformative insights and winning recommendations – Gather and analyze data and information, formulate and test strategic possibilities, and develop and communicate winning recommendations to clients 
  • Move clients to action – Identify needs, develop and communicate consulting proposals  
  • Develop and apply the consulting approach – Define a thorough consulting approach and resources required to achieve project objectives and goals 
  • Manage and deliver consulting engagements – Develop and manage the project plan and timeline, guiding team members in their work and role, to deliver deliverables in the agreed timeline and scope – including research and analysis, report writing, and presentations to stakeholders 
  • Be a leader – Manage and mentor junior team members while championing EMC position as a value and culture driven organization 
  • Manage client relationships – Practice the highest standards of excellence, integrity and professional conduct in developing opportunities with new and existing clients alike

Qualifications that we look for

  • Bachelors degree and excellent academic record in a top-tier university in business, finance, economics, and/or related fields 
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in management and financial consulting, investment banking, and/or private equity, and/or venture capital 
  • Possess significant business valuation and deal structuring experience 
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, especially in business analysis, accounting, and applied corporate finance 
  • Proven track-record of competent leadership in a work and project management 
  • Ability to write business plans, formulate strategies, create slide decks and build complex financial models for different purposes and industries 
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office applications – especially in developing consulting slide decks, and data analysis and visualization  
  • Knowledge of Asia & regional business environment and economy preferred  
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
